Great Muscle Building Exercises

Dumbbell Flies

Target Area = Pectorals

Rep Range = 6-12

Dumbbell flies are one of my favorite exercises and really target those pectoral muscles. After warming up, they are a great exercise to start off with. Because you want to build muscle you should be using quite heavy weights, so lying back on a bench, depending on how you have set your exercise program perform 6-12 reps around 3 times. The video below will show this. Remember, even if your managing to pick up 30kilo weights, if your technique is not right, then this is due to the weight, your technique needs to be perfect, or you could injure yourself!

Bicep Curls

Biceps curls, are an easy way to build muscle on the biceps. Again technique is vital, if you find yourself leaning forward to much, I can put my money on the weight being to heavy. A lot of people think theres just one way to do I bicep curl, and that up and down with the arm….wrong!! There are so many ways to perform this exercise, lookout for my up and coming posts! But for now, a perfectly performed bicep curl.

Squats

Now squats can be performed with a Swiss ball, free weight dumbbells, or with the barbells. Squats are very good for working the quadriceps, and glutes.
